What it does

A privacy-respecting metasearch engine — it queries Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, Wikipedia, etc. on your behalf and aggregates the results, without profiling you.

Replaces

Google, Bing (as your default), Kagi (free alternative).

Set as default

• Firefox: right-click the search bar on the SearXNG page → Add search engine, then set as default in about:preferences#search.
• Chrome/Edge: Settings → Search engine → Manage → Add: URL https://search.deepinthesand.com/search?q=%s.
