What it does

The most complete self-hosted cloud platform: file sync & share, calendar (CalDAV), contacts (CardDAV), notes, tasks, photos, collaborative Office documents (via OnlyOffice/Collabora), Talk (chat + calls), and a huge app store.

Replaces

Google Drive + Docs + Calendar + Contacts + Photos, iCloud, Dropbox, Microsoft 365.

How to get access

This service is available on request — email or ask Ammo directly. The default quota is 100 GB.

Need more space? You can:

  • Make your own server with our help, from an existing old PC or buying a used PC, plus storage, to add to the network, increasing storage and spreading the load, or
  • Contribute storage to the home server (a spare HDD/SSD), or
  • Sponsor additional storage for the cost of a drive amortised over its life.

Either way, it will always be cheaper than the paid equivalent (Google One, iCloud+, Dropbox Plus, etc.) — and your data stays on hardware you can physically point at.

Login

Sign in with Authentik SSO — click Sign in with Authentik / OpenID. If you're already signed in to Authentik, you'll be let straight through. See Authentik if you haven't set up your account or 2FA yet.

Apps

  • Desktop sync: Nextcloud Desktop for Win/Mac/Linux — https://nextcloud.com/install/#install-clients.
  • Mobile: Nextcloud on Google Play / App Store; Nextcloud Notes, Nextcloud Talk, DAVx⁵ (for CalDAV/CardDAV on Android).
  • iOS calendar/contacts: native — Settings → Calendar/Contacts → Add Account → Other → Add CalDAV/CardDAV pointing at cloud.deepinthesand.com.

Quick start

  1. Email Ammo to request an account.
  2. Install the desktop client, sign in via SSO, choose a folder to sync.
  3. On mobile, install the Nextcloud app and enable Auto-upload for photos if you want.
