What it does

A self-hosted community forum platform — our own private discussion board. Create categories, post threads, reply, react, send direct messages, and search across all conversations.

Replaces

Reddit, Facebook Groups, phpBB, Slack.

Login

Sign in with Authentik SSO — click Sign in with Authentik / OpenID. If you're already signed in to Authentik, you'll be let straight through. See Authentik if you haven't set up your account or 2FA yet.

Apps

  • Android & iOS: Use the Discourse Hub app — add the forum URL (https://forum.deepinthesand.com) to connect. Supports push notifications for replies, mentions, and direct messages.
  • Web/PWA works great on phones — "Add to home screen".
  • Browser: Discourse works fully in any modern browser with no install required.

Quick start

  1. Sign in via Authentik SSO.
  2. Set up your profile — avatar, bio, and notification preferences under your Preferences menu.
  3. Browse Categories to find relevant topics, or use Latest / Top to see recent activity.
  4. Click New Topic to start a thread, or Reply to join an existing one.
  5. Enable Watching on categories or threads you care about to get notified of new posts.
